Chief selector, Mohammad Wasim said in an interview that former cricketer Moin Khan son, Azam Khan is currently the best striker in the cricketing world.

He said in an interview that Azam is better than other Pakistani strikers.

He said, “Azam has currently the best strike rate in Pakistan. He plays spinners too good and has a strong strike rate than any other batter in the world,”

According to him, the batsman average doesn’t matter, batsman strike rate matters.

He said, “Average doesn’t matter of a middle-order batsman, strike rate does,”

Azam Khan was named in Pakistan’s Twenty20 World Cup squad as backup wicket-keeper. Former skipper and wicket-keeper, Sarfaraz Ahmed was dropped from the team without getting a proper chance during the last couple of years.
