National players who are playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will return to Pakistan on September 12 to join the national squad for the series against New Zealand.

Muhammad Hafeez, Azam Khan, Imad Wasim, and Asif Ali are currently playing in the CPL will be returning to Pakistan.

Usman Qadir has already joined the ODI squad after returning from West Indies.

According to the PCB, the players who will return will undergo COVID-19 testing at their homes on September 13.

The players will join the rest of the squad at the biosecure bubble and will be tested for the virus again for three consecutive days.

After a day in quarantine, players will begin training at Lahore on September 18.

Pakistan and New Zealand will play three ODIs scheduled at Pindi Cricket Stadium on September 17, 19, and 21. The ODI series will be a part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League ODIs.

The teams will face each other in five T20Is at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from September 25 to October 3.

The PCB announced the national squad for the series against NZ from September 17 to October 3. They will also face off England in two-match T20I series on October 13, 14 at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
