The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been left with no choice but to start the series without the Decision Review System (DRS).

The board made this decision after India hired the DRS company for the India Premier League (IPL).

The DRS system will most likely be absent from the Pakistan-New Zealand series, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hired the DRS operation team for four times the amount offered by the PCB.

Sources said that BCCI has hired the DRS company o work in IPL. It also added that IPL will be played during the same time as the Pakistan-New Zealand series in September.

The PCB was not able to hire the DRS company from Australia and other countries too.

However, the PCB hopes to secure the company during the upcoming T20I series against England scheduled for next month.
