Defence Day is celebrated in Pakistan as a national day to commemorate the sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending its borders. 6th September, the day of the 1965 war when Indian troops crossed the international border to invade Pakistani Punjab in retaliation for Pakistan’s Operation Grand Slam, which targeted Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistani television industry celebrated this day by showing national songs, special films on September 6 1965, and the stories of those who were martyred on that day.

The facts are told about how people gave their lives for the sake of the country’s defence, as well as the responsibility of the younger generation, the children, who are Pakistan’s future.
