LAHORE: Senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah on Sunday said the impression that PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and President Shehbaz Sharif did not come together in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) meeting was wrong.

“Only one of the top PML-N leadership addresses a PDM gathering at a time,” Rana Sanaullah said while addressing media in Dera Ghazi Khan, where the PDM is going to stage political power show later today.

A day ago, Maryam had announced that she would not be able to attend the PDM’s public gathering in DG Khan. On the other hand, Shehbaz Sharif has left to attend the DG Khan rally.

Rana Sanaullah said circumstances in the country were not normal. He said the government had a false mandate, therefore it should immediately step down. The opposition leaders would work as a joint opposition in the parliament, he said.

“It is time to move forward and the PML-N and Jamiat Ulema e Islam-F are moving forward together,” he said.

Meanwhile, PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurengzeb said the PDM rally would be held against historic inflation, unemployment and economic catastrophe in the country.

“The PDM meeting in Dera Ghazi Khan today will prove to be a public referendum against the tyrannical government. Preparations for the rally have been completed,” she said adding that Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and other PDM leaders would attend the gathering which was being hosted by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman.
