T20 World Cup: Papua New Guinea to go against Oman in today’s qualifiers

The seventh edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will kick off in Oman and The United Arab Emirates (UAE) today.

The first qualifier between co-host Oman and Papua New Guinea (PNG) will be played today at 03:00 pm PST. The second qualifier will be played between Bangladesh, which is appearing in the qualifying stage for the first time, and Scotland at 07:00 pm PST.

This will be Oman’s second appearance in the ICC T20 World Cup since 2016. They had won one match out of three in the last qualifiers. With ranked 18th in the ICC T20 rankings, they are looking forward to securing the place in the Super12.

PNG will make its ICC T20 World Cup debut with full confidence. They are ranked 15th in the ICC T20 rankings, three places above Oman.

The match will be played at 14:00 local time (15:00 Pakistan time) at Oman Cricket Academy Ground, Al Amerat.
