Whatsapp to verify identity before making payments successful

Whatsapp, the messaging application has upgraded its payment tool recently. The payment feature will now ask for documents and verify the sender’s identity before the payments are successful. In order to access payments through the Whatsapp beta version, users will now provide legal documents first.

The company has not made an official announcement as yet; however, users are speculating that the new change will be limited to the business accounts only.

Facebook owned Whatsapp, is constantly making improvisations so as to make e-commerce easier and more common. The company’s recently introduced ‘Collections’ feature in business version, helps users shop online from the application. The users can choose their products by exploring through categories. Or in other words, the business account can organize products according to the category so that buyers easily choose from the list.
