Government dedicated to provide funds to Balochistan: President Arif Alvi

QUETTA: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Monday said that the government is committed to provide added funds to the province and to completely eradicate the sense of deprivation from Balochistan, while chairing a meeting on the rehabilitation of special persons at Governor House.

He said it was vital to make disabled persons valuable citizens of the society and for this reason, the scope of Vocational Training Centers needs to be extended.

The president emphasized that disabled persons needed to learn skills in order to earn respectable occupations in the society to perform their dynamic role in the progress of the country as they have an important part of the society.

President Alvi also stated that the resources were dispersed on the basis of population under NFC award in the country, the capacity building of the Social Welfare Departnment was also discussed in the meeting.

First Lady Begum Samina Arif Alvi, Governor Balochistan Syed Zahoor Agha, Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana and WHO Representative Maryam Malik attended the meeting.
