LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has urged the government to take measures for uninterrupted gas supply to industries during the winter season, a statement said.

LCCI president Mian Nauman Kabir, senior vice president Mian Rehman Aziz Chan and vice president Haris Ateeq said that the unavailability or low gas pressure during the winter season would result in low production and delay in export consignments.

They lamented that the country was facing gas shortage during the winter season for years and the same situation was likely this year.

They demanded the government to take measures for keeping industries operational so that export consignments could be sent within the given timeframe.
