Lahore High Court’s Justice Shakilur Rehman Khan passes away

LAHORE: Justice Shakilur Rehman Khan of the Lahore High Court passed away on Tuesday at the age of 52.

The deceased judge’s funeral prayer was offered after Isha in a mosque of Garden Town.

Sitting and retired judges of the Supreme Court, the LHC and lawyers attended Justice Khan’s funeral prayer.

Justice Khan was admitted to a hospital in Islamabad for the treatment of cancer.

He was appointed as judge of the LHC on Oct 23, 2018. He was serving as advocate general of Punjab before his elevation to the bench. He was the son of retired justice Khalilur Rehman Khan and was supposed to superannuate on Feb 14, 2031.
