LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Sunday responded to Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain’s tweet about electoral reforms.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said Prime Minister Imran Khan had made every national agenda controversial. All the political parties wanted electoral reforms, but Imran Khan, she said adding that the only thing that the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) wanted was stealing of election.

“As per the Daska election report, Imran Sahib was an election thief. After the Daska election report, everybody is now aware of your transparency of poll and electoral reforms,” she taunted.

Referring to the government’s seeking help from the opposition, the PML-N leader said when the government could not complete the required numbers to pass a bill, they approached all the political parties.

Mocking Fawad Chaudhry for seeking the opposition’s cooperation “for success of the political system”, she said the success of the political system was remembered when allies and the party members had expressed distrust.

“Calling Imran Sahib’s agenda of vote-stealing a national agenda is the extreme of fraud and lie. People want Imran Sahib’s resignation not his election agenda, now prepare to go home instead of making legislation,” she said.

Earlier, Chaudhry Fawad said electoral reforms was a national agenda and all political parties should come forward for this purpose.

“The electoral reforms is not an agenda of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf or Prime Minister Imran Khan,” Fawad Chaudhry said in a tweet.

He stressed that all political parties should cooperate to build up an electoral system under which the entire leadership would have the trust on results. It would be a great success of the political system, he maintained.
