KARACHI: Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (Kati) president Salman Aslam has thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for maintaining the prices of petroleum products, a statement said.

This move of the government would provide some relief to the industrialists, he said, adding that in the current rate of inflation, the people and industrialists could not bear the burden of a further increase in the petroleum products prices, while importers and exporters could not afford the increase in the production costs.

The benefits received from Saudi Arabia of low-cost petrol should be passed on to the people, he said, adding that this will enable the industrialists to cover the damage caused by inflation and increased production costs.

Aslam appealed the prime minister to review the prices of petroleum products on a monthly basis.
