ISLAMABAD: Taking serious notice of entities striving to disrupt oil supplies at petrol pumps, OGRA has advised All Oil Marketing Companies to ensure uninterrupted supply at retail outlets.

“Enforcement teams are infield to ensure the same,” OGRA said in a statement.

It further stated that anyone involved in oil disruptions causing public inconvenience shall be dealt with strictly in accordance with OGRA laws.

The announcement comes after All Pakistan Petrol Pumps Dealers Association (APPPDA) called for a nationwide strike on Thursday, November 25, after the government showed reluctance in increasing the dealers’ margin by six per cent.

APPPDA announced that petrol pumps across the country, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, amid the disagreement on dealers’ margin.

The central leader of APPPDA Majid Ansari while announcing the countrywide strike said that there will be no negotiations with the government till their demand were met.

Earlier, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority notified that the prices of petrol remain the same till November 30.

OGRA in its summary to the petroleum division requested for an increased revision of Rs5 to Rs8, which was rejected by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
