Palestine thanks Pakistan for supporting the cause of its people

ISLAMABAD: Palestine has extended its gratitude to Pakistan for supporting the cause of Palestinian people.

In a statement on the occasion of International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People, being observed on Monday, the Palestinian embassy in Islamabad appreciated the historical Pakistani fraternal stance, supporting the Palestinian people to obtain their rights.

The embassy on behalf of the State of Palestine and its people thanked the people of Pakistan for their sympathy and support, and appreciated the solidarity statements of the president, government, pakistan army, parliament and all political parties of Pakistan.

On November 29 every year, the free people of the world celebrate International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, as per the 1977 declaration of the UN General Assembly.

The aim of observing the day is to show solidarity with Palestinian people in getting their inalienable right to freedom, and to establish their independent state on their national soil, with Jerusalem as its capital.

A cycle rally was carried out from the Embassy Inn hotel to the Nursery bus stop on Shahra-e-Faisal on Sunday afternoon by Palestine Foundation Pakistan to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.
