PM Imran Khan briefed on scholarships and business loans

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar on Saturday informed Prime Minister Imran Khan that 101,447 scholarships worth Rs4.7 billion have been distributed under the Kamyab Jawan Skill for All Programme.

The SAPM, during a meeting with the prime minister, stated that 16,617 concessional business loans worth Rs 23 billion have also been distributed under Youth Entrepreneur Scheme.

Dar shared the figures while presenting a two-year report on the performance of the Kamyab Jawan Programme. The PM was informed that five more pro-youth initiatives will be launched soon as well.

The initiatives include the establishment of Kamyab Jawan Centres in 106 universities, the launch of Green Youth Movement, Kamyab Jawan Innovation League, Kamyab Jawan Talent Hunt Sports League, Kamyan Jawan Sports Academies, and Sports Gala.

Prime Minister Imran Khan directed the SAPM to take all measures for the inclusion of youth in all sectors.

He said 68 per cent of Pakistan’s population was below 30 years and the government is determined to convert this into a great asset.

The prime minister said the government was dedicated in using the youth’s energy for the socio-economic development of the country as they are a catalyst for change in society.
