SARGODHA: A 13-year-old boy passed away on Tuesday after being allegedly assaulted by the owner of the house where he used to work in Sargodha.

Bol news channel quoted police sources as saying that Arsalan Ali used to work at Nasir Bhatti’s house.

Relatives of the victim said that when they went to pick up the child one day ago, the owners of the house had refused to send him with them. “This morning, when a rickshaw driver brought the child, froth was coming out of his mouth. We took the boy to the Civil Hospital, where doctors said the juvenile had died,” they said.

The family members further said that the child had refused to work with owners of the house, therefore they had tortured him. “We have been abused. We need justice,” said the family members.

Satellite police station officials also reached at the home of the victims upon receiving information about the incident. They said investigation into the incident was underway and they would carry out action in accordance with the law.

On November 18, Muhammad Afzal Salar Jokhio complainant in the case of his brother Nazimuddin Salar Jokhio’s murder had said that Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Jam Abdul Karim was not involved in the murder of his brother and therefore his name be excluded from the list of suspects involved in the murder case.

“Jam Abdul Karim has sworn before me that he is not involved in murder of my brother but his (Jam Abdul Karim’s) brother Jam Awais and others are involved in my brother’s murder,” Afzal had stated.
