ISLAMABAD: Higher Education Commission (HEC) Executive Director Dr Shaista Sohail on Monday said that more than 7,000 students of various universities would participate in the mega national talent hunt programme with a view to developing team spirit and a healthy environment.

The HEC official said that the commission had finalised arrangements for the biggest sports event at the university level in Islamabad for four days starting from December 6.

Sports programmes would create an environment of positive competition among students of different varsities, Dr Sohail added.

The HEC official continued that there would be competitions in 15 sports disciplines during the Kamyab Jawan Sports Gala 2021 where more than 7,000 students including both boys and girls would actively participate at the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Jinnah Stadium and Gymnasium.

The sports activities were aimed to develop a team spirit and hone the talent of students at educational institutions, she added.
