PSL 7: English cricket coach Peter Moores has been named as a head coach of the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) seventh edition 2022.

Moores will replace South African cricket coach, Herschelle Gibbs who was the head coach of the Karachi Kings in PSL 6.

Moores is the current head coach of Nottinghamshire and has been part of the England coaching set-up twice.

“It’s so exciting to be able to come and join the Karachi family,” Moores said in a video message. “I can’t wait to get stuck it; it’s known to be one of the best tournaments worldwide because of the strength of the local talent,”

“It’s something I can’t wait to get involved with, the fact it’s being played in Pakistan makes it even better – the traditions, the passion – and we’re going to try to play some really exciting, aggressive cricket,” he added.

Moores’s son Tom has been part of the PSL in 2019 and played for Multan Sultans.
