Senior doctor falls victim to dengue, Sindh’s death toll rises to 26

KARACHI: A senior doctor of the Jinnah Hospital diagnosed with dengue passed away on Tuesday.

According to details, Dr Mahmood Al Hassan, a associate professor at hospital, was under the treatment for some time but could not defeat the virus.

Separately, the Sindh Health Department said that the provincewide death toll from dengue virus has risen to 26. While the number of people infected with dengue in the province has exceeded 6,146, the department added.

Meanwhile, the in the last 24 hours, 27 more cases have been reported throughout the province.

According to a report, 21 dengue deaths have been reported from Karachi, four in Hyderabad and one in Mirpur Khas.
