Australia lock Kane Douglas has signed a contract extension keeping him at Bordeaux-Begles until 2024, the French club announced on Tuesday.

Douglas, 32, joined the Top 14 outfit in 2018, two years after making the last of his 31 Wallabies appearances.

“It’s the best thing for my family to stay put. I think me and the club want the same thing,” he told AFP last week.

“The club want me to stay, I want to stay.”

Top 14 leaders Bordeaux-Begles host Leicester Tigers, the side in the No. 1 spot in the English Premiership, in the opening round of the European Champions Cup this Saturday.
