Austrian Foreign Minister to arrive in Pakistan on a 4-day visit

ISLAMABAD: The Austrian Foreign Minister (FM) is to arrive in Pakistan today (Wednesday) on a four-day visit at the invitation of FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

Austrian FM Alexander Schallenberg will stay in Pakistan from March 16 to 19 accompanied by a trade delegation.

During the visit, Austrian FM will hold talks with Shah Mahmood Qureshi to expand bilateral relationships in all fields as well as discuss regional and global issues of importance.

The Austrian Foreign Minister is also expected to meet other dignitaries during his visit.

A business roundtable is being organized where Austrian and Pakistani businessmen will get an opportunity to discuss prospective business opportunities.

The Austrian Foreign Minister would also undertake a visit to Lahore.

The two countries have long-standing, cordial relations with growing cooperation in diverse fields.

The visit of the Austrian Foreign Minister to Pakistan is expected to impart further impetus to the multifaceted Pakistan-Austria relationship.
