President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o, said on Monday that Algerian football officials’ claims of match-fixing had shocked Cameroon.

Cameroon’s 2022 World Cup playoff triumph against Algeria, according to Algerian football coach Djamel Belmadi, “was a plot involving two or three individuals.”The referee’s performance, according to Belmadi, distorted Algeria’s home defeat in Blida in March.

“FECAFOOT refutes the slanderous claims made by Algerian football leaders in an allusive and repetitious manner. In the coming days, Cameroon reserves the right to put the case before the FIFA Ethics Committee “On Monday night, Eto’o issued a statement.

“FECAFOOT urges Algerian football leaders to utilise their recognised rights through legal ways,” he said.
