KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set for a massive political power show at Bagh-i-Jinnah, where former prime minister Imran Khan would address the masses.

Today’s jalsa is one of several public events planned by the PTI as they raise the political temperature in order to seek early elections following the fall of former Prime Minister Imran Khan via a no-confidence resolution.

While some PTI leaders are in Karachi preparing to greet Imran Khan, other key figures, like Hammad Azhar and Shafqat Mehmood, are now in Lahore’s Liberty Chowk, where PTI supporters have flocked in response to Khan’s summons.

It is worth noting that when Imran Khan arrived in Karachi, he complained of headache and requested PTI leader Imran Ismail for medicine.

According to media reports, Imran Khan travelled straight from the airport to the governor’ house, where he will preside over a party gathering before heading to Bagh—Jinnah to address the people of Karachi.

“My request to all those attending our jalsa in Karachi is to carry our Pakistan flag as this is now a fight for Pakistan’s sovereignty [and] haqeeqi (real) democracy, [and] against US-instigated regime change, supported by local Mir Jafars,” he wrote on Twitter.
