A dramatic video has emerged showing the moment an erratic motorist was apprehended and detained by police. The commotion began just after noon on Sunday near Melton, in Melbourne’s outer west, when the implicated automobile veered into oncoming traffic.

According to police, the guy was engaged in a two-car accident nearby at approximately 9.30 a.m. that morning, during which he reportedly brandished a pistol and threatened the driver of the second vehicle. He fled the scene swiftly, while the passenger in the other car, a 63-year-old woman, was brought to the hospital.

However, the man suspected of committing an aggravated burglary at a property in the neighborhood at 11.30 a.m. had only just begun his alleged wild rampage. Before taking a Kia Sportage, he allegedly threatened the house’s residents with a rifle.

The car was allegedly driven in an unpredictable and unsafe way at high speeds, crossing onto the wrong side of the road often and at times entirely leaving the road. After the automobile was slammed by a police vehicle and the suspected perpetrator was put to the ground by Victoria Police officers, the chase came to a stop.

“The car was reportedly driven in an unpredictable and unsafe way, at high speeds, frequently crossing into the wrong side of the road and at times leaving the road entirely,” according to a spokesman. A 24-year-old Box Hill guy has been detained and is actively cooperating with police investigations.
