A Florida lady is facing charges after she reportedly forced a young girl to drive her around the city with a pistol pointed at her. Dina Wilson, 61, was arrested Wednesday after the girl’s friend informed police, according to Sarasota Police.

Wilson approached the adolescent as she opened her vehicle trunk to beg for jumper wires as she drove to Lido Beach to see the sunset. Wilson approached her and questioned a couple nearby when she informed him she didn’t have any.

Wilson brandished a revolver at the adolescent and forced her to take her to South Lido Beach after the couple stated they didn’t have any cables, according to the Sarasota Police Department. Wilson stepped out of the victim’s car when they arrived at the beach and dug around inside before getting back in, according to authorities. The adolescent was then reportedly told to accompany her to fetch lunch.

The young lady drove to a nearby convenience shop. When Wilson entered, the girl texted a friend to report she was being forced to drive Wilson around while being threatened with a pistol, according to authorities. A mutual buddy dialed 911. Meanwhile, the girl informed her companion that they would be returning to Lido Beach.

A Sarasota police officer was at South Lido Park about the same time, after shutting up the area. The teen was driving a gray SUV, according to authorities. The boy drove toward a police patrol car after the SUV was parked. Wilson was forced out of the car and handcuffed by an officer.
