The Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., was closed early Saturday morning after a group of Georgetown University seniors left shattered bottles and wine spilled on the monument’s stairs.

After the senior ball on Friday, hundreds of students came to witness the dawn on Saturday. A few people went swimming in the Reflecting Pool. The Lincoln Memorial will be closed for a short time, according to the National Park Service, since the group left debris in the area.
