Atleast 8 died in bus-car collision

According to a local police officer, a head-on accident between a bus and a car killed at least eight people and wounded almost 20 others in Bangladesh on Saturday.

According to Ayesha Siddiqa, the area’s police head, the tragic traffic accident occurred at 11:00 a.m. local time in the Gopalganj district, around 100 kilometres southwest of the capital city of Dhaka.

According to Siddiqa, the bus involved lost control on a highway and crashed with a car travelling in the other direction before hitting a motorbike.

According to the police official, all of the injured were taken to nearby hospitals and clinics, with one of them in severe condition. The actual reason of the tragedy is still being investigated.
