Salvador Ramos, the 18-year-old gunman who opened fire at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, posted three times on Facebook before the incident, according to Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

“Except for what I’m going to tell you, there was no relevant forewarning of this crime,” Abbott said. “At this moment, the only information available was posted on Facebook by the gunman around 30 minutes before he arrived at the school.”

“The first post went as far as him saying, ‘I’m going to shoot my grandmother.’ ‘I shot my granny,’ said the second post. ‘I’m going to shoot an elementary school,’ said the third message, perhaps less than 15 minutes before arriving at the school.”

Ramos was apparently a high school dropout with no known mental health or criminal past, according to Abbott. He noted that a probable youth criminal record has yet to be established.
Meta spokeswoman Andy Stone tweeted shortly after Abbott’s declaration that Ramos’ Facebook posts were private.

“Gov. Abbott portrayed the texts were private one-on-one text messages that were found after the tragic event. In the continuing inquiry, we are working closely with law enforcement “Stone used Twitter.

An Instagram account linked to Ramos reportedly posted unsettling images, including one of a high-capacity magazine. Since then, the Instagram account has been deactivated.

Before the horrific incident, the same user reportedly sent ominous texts to a lady. “You going to upload my gun pics?” the first message, received on May 12, requested. The lady was identified in images with firearms.

Beto O’Rourke, a failed Texas contender, attempted to interrupt Abbott’s news conference shortly after Abbott’s statements regarding the Facebook posts and was hauled out.
