Between 3 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, Beijing recorded 94 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, according to Liu Xiaofeng, deputy head of the Beijing municipal disease prevention and control centre, at a press briefing Sunday.
Seventy-seven instances were discovered among those under closed-off management, while 17 were discovered through community-wide screening. According to Liu, eight districts were engaged, including Fangshan, Fengtai, and Haidian.
Since April 22, the national capital has recorded 1,493 locally transmitted illnesses.
