Budget 23-2022 cast aside $100 billion for improvement of poor areas

In the next budget, it has been decided to allocate up to Rs 100 billion in the development budget for the backward areas.

According to sources in the Ministry of Planning, it has been decided to allocate up to Rs 100 billion in the development budget for the backward areas in the next financial year 23-2022.

Sources in the Ministry of Planning said that the federation and the provinces would provide funds for 50.50 percent of backward areas while in the budget all 1.3 million households in Balochistan would be brought under the BISP corps.

A donors conference will be organized for the integrated districts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Funds will also be released from this fund to the backward areas of FATA and PATA.

Sources in the Ministry of Planning further said that development work in the backward areas and basic facilities would be provided to the poor families.
