Foreign Minister visits UAE to offer condolences on the death of UAE President,

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today to offer condolences to the family, Emirati leadership and people of Al Nahyan on the demise of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Foreign Office spokesman Asim Iftikhar Ahmed said, with the death of Sheikh Khalifa, the UAE lost a visionary and resourceful leader who changed the country drastically.

Pakistan has lost a sincere friend and partner who played an invaluable role in strengthening fraternal ties between the two countries, Asim Iftikhar Ahmed said.

In this hour of sorrow, the thoughts and prayers of the Pakistani people are with Al Nahyan family and the Emirati brothers, the FO spokesman added.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, passed away this Friday, May 13.

His death news was announced by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.

“The Ministry of Presidential Affairs condoles the people of the UAE, the Arab and Islamic nation and the world over the demise of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the UAE.”
