Andrew Hill was recorded with his left arm wrapped and a homemade bandage over his head. He is 35 years old. While being questioned, he was seen stating he had traveled to Ukraine on his own accord to support the nation, according to Reuters. Mr. Hill hinted at a link to the International Legion, a Ukrainian government-created force for foreigners who desire to serve in support of the war effort.

When asked about his rank by his interrogators, the Briton replied: “I don’t have a position… I just know that the foreign legion stated I could assist them.” He surrendered to Russian soldiers in the Mykolaiv area of southern Ukraine, according to Russia’s defense ministry. A second British guy, Scott Sibley, 36, a former soldier, was slain in the same area just a few days earlier.

Mr. Hill stated while shooting that he was from Plymouth and that he has four children and a girlfriend. His passport was taken by Russian forces, he added. Russian authorities have reportedly captured two other British men in Ukraine. Aiden Aslin, 28, and Shaun Pinner, 48, were apprehended earlier this month while defending Mariupol in Ukraine’s southeast.

On Thursday, it was announced that a British army veteran had been slain after traveling to Ukraine to fight. Scott Sibley, 36, was slain in southern or eastern Ukraine on an unknown date, but it is believed to have been a few days ago. Mr. Sibley’s family has been notified of the issue, and the Foreign Office is assisting them.

Meanwhile, Russian soldiers are said to have detained two British relief workers. Paul Urey, 45, and Dylan Healy, 22, were apprehended on Monday, according to the UK non-profit Presidium Network. They are said to have been apprehended at a checkpoint south of the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia.
