Jason Momoa fought to keep Amber Heard in ‘Aquaman 2’

Amber Heard was only able to maintain her part in the upcoming Aquaman sequel because her co-star in the film, Jason Momoa, was “adamant” that she do so.

Kathryn Arnold, a former Hollywood producer who is now an entertainment business consultant and specialist, testified as Heard’s witness in the continuing defamation case against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

In court, Arnold stated that the superhero picture was Heard’s “a star is born moment,” but her involvement was cut short due to conflicts with the Pirates of the Caribbean actor.

She went on to say that the actor was only able to be in the picture because Momoa and the film’s director, James Wan, were “dedicated to her” and “adamant she was in the film.”

According to the witness, Heard’s original draught of the screenplay included a “strong romance arc throughout the film and some terrific action moments.”

Arnold says Heard learned via a costume designer that her role had been “dismissed” after she purportedly trained five hours per day for a scene in the film.

According to the Daily Mail, she also stated that the action sequences had been “taken out” and her role had been “radically reduced.”

Jessica Kovacevic, Heard’s agent, earlier stated in court that the actor’s role was decreased due to a “lack of chemistry” with Momoa, but Arnold rejected this.

“They (Hollywood) admire her work but they can’t work with her because every time her name is mentioned, the hostility flares up again,” Arnold added of Heard’s “poor reputation” in public.
