On Sunday morning, a 50-year-old father was killed in a head-on collision with a tram in Melbourne’s east. Around 9 a.m., a guy from Hawthorn was driving a black van along Camberwell Road when he swerved in front of a tram. Both vehicles were reported to be traveling at 60 km/h when they collided head-on.

The 50-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although a kid seat was recovered in the rear seat of his automobile, emergency personnel established that the guy was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The tram was carrying around 20 people, but only the driver was hurt – a minor head wound.

The incident has prompted Victoria Police to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding it.
