According to an official announcement made on Friday, a former banker on China’s Red Notice fugitive list was apprehended overseas and deported to China on Thursday.

Sun Feng, the former head of a local branch of the Agricultural Bank of China in Jiangsu Province, escaped to the United States in December 2011.

In April 2015, Sun was placed on China’s Red Notice list.
The 10-year pursuit and arrest of Sun, the 61st Red Notice fugitive repatriated in a special operation codenamed “Sky Net,” demonstrates China’s steadfast determination to bring back all corrupt fugitives, according to an official with the Central Anti-Corruption Coordination Group’s Fugitive Repatriation and Asset Recovery Office.

The official pleaded with all fugitives to return to China and surrender.
