Shikhar Dhawan is one of the most well-known sports figures, and it will be fascinating for his admirers to learn that he is now dabbling in acting. Shikhar is about to make his acting debut in a large, mainstream film for which he has already wrapped filming. However, the title of the film remains a mystery.

According to the source, “Shikhar always had huge respect for actors, and when he was offered this part he was happy to come aboard. The makers felt that Shikhar suits the character and reached out to him a few months back. It’s a proper full length role and is not a cameo. His part is pivotal to the film, which is expected to release sometime this year,”

Shikhar was sighted on the sets of Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha, in October of last year. This sparked speculation that the cricketer will appear in the film. Our source, however, claims that Shikhar will not be making his debut with Ram Setu. Shikhar was only paying him a visit on the set because he and Akshay are close friends.
