A popular protein bar has been pulled off store shelves after it was discovered to contain a substance that might cause allergic reactions in people.  The Chemist Warehouse Group is recalling the INC Shred Max raspberry coconut flavor protein bar 60g, which is distributed across the country.

The best before the date for the concerned product is December 16, 2022. The recall is being issued owing to faulty packing, which might expose customers to peanuts. The NSW Food Authority issued a statement on Monday saying, “The product label is for INC Shred Max Raspberry Coconut Flavour, while the product inside is INC Shred Max Peanut Caramel Flavour.”

“Any consumers with a peanut allergy or intolerance who ingest the product may have a response.”

Consumers with a peanut allergy or intolerance should not eat the product and should return it to the store for a full refund.

Authorities advise anybody concerned about their health to seek medical assistance.
