YouTuber ‘Dad’ lands 22-second KO in boxing debut

YouTube personality Nathan Barnatt, often known as ‘Dad,’ opened Tuesday night’s Creator Clash fight programme in Florida with a shocking 22-second finish.

At the Yuengling Center, eighteen social media stars, including iDubbbz and Harley Morenstein, traded their video cameras for boxing gloves to benefit a variety of charity. And when Barnatt faced Matt Watson of the comedy team ‘SuperMega,’ he made an indelible first impression with a devastating first-round stoppage.

The two were separated by 15 years of age, two pounds on the scales, and a clear gap in boxing talent. Barnatt threw himself into his preparation for the fight and was able to rapidly take entire control of the ring over Watson, who was plainly inexperienced.

“These guys Mike and Josh, my two coaches, trained me really well,” Barnatt told Mirror Fighting after the fight. “I tried to tell him that I was really going hard, training non-stop every day for six months. “I don’t think he really knew and he wasn’t really going as hard as me. I came and destroyed, that was the plan. I will literally fight anyone if we can make the same weight.”

Watson’s ring walk, the first of the main programme, nearly tore the roof off the place, but fans were surprised when he failed to land a punch on ‘Dad.’ Instead, the older fighter delivered a flurry of punches in the first 22 seconds of the round, forcing the bout to be stopped.
