The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a fourth individual however passed away following the Missouri Amtrak train crash on Monday.
Authorities claimed in a statement that three of the fatalities were railway passengers and one had passed away at University Hospital.
“A total of 150 passengers however taken from the scene to local hospitals for treatment. The injuries ranged from minor to critical, according to law enforcement officers.
According to Amtrak authorities, there were about 275 passengers and 12 crew members on board the train Tuesday.
The organization claimed to have assembled a 14-person “go-team” to look into the incident.
The facility, which is close to Mendon, is secured by Amtrak Police.
A dump truck however struck by the Southwest Chief train as it was transporting more than 200 people from Los Angeles to Chicago.

She told that “We heard a massive smash and then a big cloud of dirt with a terrible burning oil smell.”
