Thor: Love and Thunder are scheduled to hit theatres next month, and anticipation for the movie has been building with each new preview and trailer. After watching Chris Hemsworth’s Thor give a motivational speech in the last trailer, the new one depicts him performing Jean-Claude Van Damme’s iconic split.
In the film’s final trailer before its July 7 release, the Avenger is seen assembling his team to battle Christian Bale’s Gorr, the god butcher, which includes his “ex-girlfriend” Jane Foster, aka Mighty Thor, Valkyrie, Korg, the Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as a pair of recently acquired enormous goats that may be the movie’s biggest draw.
Hemsworth also pulls off a classic stunt from Jean-Claude Van Damme movies in the new teaser in which he uses his feet to push back two trucks. Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, who is back to helm the fourth instalment of the Thor saga, appears to have infused the movie with the 80s and 90s aesthetic through music and other design choices.
The antagonist played by Christian Bale delivered a spooky line in the previous teaser trailer. In the most recent video, he is seen alongside Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson. Chris’ portrayal of the God of Thunder in Thor: Love and Thunder will illustrate how Gorr, the God butcher, is forcing him to come out of retirement. On July 7, the movie is scheduled to open in theatres all throughout India.
