Text-to-image AI generators are becoming more popular, especially since OpenAI’s DALL-E 2 was released. Now, TikTok has made its own text-to-image filter to compete with others, but the pictures aren’t very good.

When you choose an effect, TikTok suggests things like “snorkelling in a purple ocean,” “a hidden village in the mountains,” and “a rainbow volcano erupting.” You can also try making your own ideas.

But if your prompt has words like “naked” or “violent,” the filter will make abstract pictures with the right colours and themes. But it’s not clear that censorship is needed.

People are using this filter as TikTok trends right now. The most popular trend is putting your name into a generator to see what your “aesthetic” looks like. A second common thing is for people to put in their birthdays.

TikTok has released this feature. Update the app if you don’t have this feature. Wait a few days if you don’t obtain the feature. It’s forthcoming.
