Ramiz Raja left the Pakistan Cricket Board, while a prominent journalist and former interim chief minister Najam Sethi returned. Ali Sethi won’t play in the forthcoming season of the PSL, the nation’s premier sporting event, as a result of his appointment to the PCB.

The PSL 8, Pakistan’s largest cricket tournament, is scheduled to take place next month. The PCB was considering Ali Sethi for the PSL 8 blasting anthem. Despite the fact that the Pasoori crooner’s smash song topped Google’s hum-to-search category last year, the PSL faces change that has hampered his possibilities.

Before Najam Sethi, Ali Sethi’s father was appointed as the new head of the cricket board, the Pakistan Super League’s previous iterations included original ideas and catchy tunes from the nation’s greatest musicians.

As the former management of PCB was in contact with the singing phenomenon for the PSL cover, it was even claimed that Ali flew from the US to Lahore. Najam Sethi, however, made the decision not to include Ali.

According to reports in the local media, Najam Sethi chose against selecting his son in order to avoid criticism since his appointment was already clouded by claims that he accepted a sizable salary as the head of the cricket body.

Despite this, the two parties are keeping quiet about the development because no official announcement was released.

Fans, however, are excitedly anticipating this year’s event, which will begin on February 13 in Karachi.
