At the Cannes World Film Festival, the Pakistani short film “Naam Badal Dena” was chosen as one of the festival‘s top short films.

The 26-minute movie, which is directed by Arsheela Salman and stars Hira Khan and Arsalan Khan, is focused on the idea of woman psychology.

The plot revolves around two closest friends who are also married, and it examines the intense love and friendship that exist between a husband and wife.

According to executive producer Naveed Farooqui, this kind of film, which portrays the healthy relationship between husband and wife, friendship, and true love in a pure manner, is not frequently made in Pakistani or Indian society.

Before being nominated at Cannes, Rida Bilal, who wrote and directed the movie, received prizes at six other international film festivals.

Six additional films from other nations have also been chosen in the category of the best short film at the Cannes Film Festival, in addition to Naam Badal Dina.
