Sajjad Ali clears the air about his claim that Bollywood copied his song
Pakistani artist Sajjad Ali released a strange video singing his 25-year-old song, and netizens believe it’s pirated.
Pathaan has been involved in controversy since its first rushes and first song were released online. The song was discussed after a Madhya Pradesh minister noticed DP’s saffron bikini.
Netizens believe Pathaan’s songs Besharam Rang and Jhoome Jo Pathaan are plagiarised.
Sajjad Ali has posted a strange video on Instagram. After hearing a new movie’s song, “After listening to a new movie’s song, It reminded me of my song I released 26 years ago, Ab Ke Hum Bichare. Enjoy!!” “Main YouTube pe kuch nayi filmon ka music sun raha toh mujhe apna 25-26 saal purana ek ganna yaad aaya. Aap logon ko sunate hai.” the singer says. Please sign in. He sings the hymn.
After his video went viral, people said it sounded like a Besharam Rang song. One user noted, “This sounds like “Besharam Rang” from Pathaan,” while another said, “Besharam song based on Sajjad ali music composition indian alway pirate our music composition and they did not even give credit to our Pakistani singers.”
A third person accused “Almost every Bollywood movie song is copied like the tune and they also have copied japanese songs and also old/new pakistani songs.”While he shared the video 6 days ago, it’s currently doing the rounds on social media.
After the song was released online, netizens claimed it plagiarised Jain’s ‘Makeba’ A user wrote, “#BesharamRang background is a complete copy of the Makeba song by Jain! I do agree the tweaks made make it a bit more Bollywoody and catchy. The similarity of the vibe of the entire song to Ghungroo from War is just non-ignorable.”
