In a recent interview, actor Arez Ahmed spoke strongly about the value of financially independent women. The entrepreneur and author is of the opinion that a woman’s financial independence is essential to both her own personal development and fulfilment as well as to society at large.

The actor noted, in a recent interview with Rabia Mughni, “Women put up with the abuse because they are financially reliant on it. It’s crucial for a woman to be financially independent in a relationship. I think a lady who is financially independent would never put up with her husband abusing her.”

“I feel merely financial independence is not enough for women’s protection because most women have to deal with harsh attitudes due to their high salaries, and they have to put in more effort to preserve their houses,” his wife Hiba Bukhari continued.
