Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas, a talented sibling duo that played a key role in the PLF (Pakistan Literature Festival) 2023, gave a performance on their popular rap song Humsaye Maa Jaye during one of the sessions of the show.

The two sisters gave the song’s audience a performance at the Ahmed Bashir Ka Kumba session of the three-day event. Asma sang the song while wearing traditional attire, while Bushra dressed elegantly in a white and blue printed sari for the occasion.

Both Ansari and Abbas were able to execute their performance exactly as they did in the song’s original music video. The facial expressions of both women were spot on.

This rap song was written by Song Humsaye Maa Jaye in 2019 to encourage peace between longtime foes Pakistan and India. The Punjabi rap stresses togetherness and draws attention to the shared cultural heritage of the two nations.

In the song’s music video, the Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat actress portrays an Indian woman, while the Qalandar actress portrays a Pakistani woman.

PLF 2023, which is currently taking place in Lahore, is being directed by a group of the nation’s most gifted intellectuals and artists. The three-day festival explores a wide range of important subjects, including the economy, education, art, and more.
