Pakistan defeated the defending winners Sri Lanka to advance to Tuesday’s final of the 15th West Asia Baseball Cup in Islamabad against Palestine.

The hosts defeated Sri Lanka 16-1 to go to the competition’s final.

Palestine, meanwhile, prevailed over Bangladesh in the other semifinal to get to the championship match.

On February 1 at 1:00 PM, Pakistan and Palestine will compete in the championship game (PST).

Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari, the federal minister for inter-provincial coordination (IPC), will attend the super final as the special guest.

It should be noted that the semi-finals were originally slated to begin on Monday, but inclement weather forced the last four matches to be moved to January 31.

The 43rd-ranked Pakistani team opened the tournament by defeating Afghanistan 17-0, and the hosts trounced Bangladesh 14-0 in the second match.

The West Asia Cup will feature teams from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, and Palestine, it should be emphasized.

The top two teams from the West Asia Cup advance to the Asian Baseball Championship, which takes place in Taiwan and serves as a Baseball World Cup qualifier.
