QUETTA: After hosting their first competitive game in over 26 years, fans flocked to watch the exhibition match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.

Fans arrived at the stadium early in the morning because the stadium gates were scheduled to close at 9 a.m. They waited in line to get inside the stadium to see their favorite cricket players in action.

When this tale was written, a large crowd of fans was gathered outside the stadium, waiting for their turn to enter the stands.

Due to the large throng, management has closed the stadium doors to avoid any mishaps and is gradually allowing the public to enter the stadium.

The match is completely sold out. In the stands, around 15,000-16,000 temporary seats were installed.

It should be recalled that Quetta last hosted an international game in 1996. Pakistan played Zimbabwe in the most recent One-Day International (ODI) in Quetta.
