Sanam Jung has revealed that she does not dress in a fat suit for her character as a plus-sized woman in the most recent drama, “Pyari Mona.”

The criticism the show was getting because Jung appeared in some episodes wearing a fat suit was addressed by Jung in the interview.

“When I first arrived, they informed me that I didn’t look the part and that I needed to gain 20 kg to be ideal for the position. I had initially resisted, but as I began to fall in love with Mona, I changed my mind and said, “Okay, we have to do this.” Considering that we had created a body garment for Mona that was heavily filled with cotton and resembled a big blanket in weight. I had to shoot in the summer and it completely covered me. We conducted numerous tests, and each time I wore it, my face appeared small and my body appeared large. We then agreed that I need to eat more to fulfil this duty. I initially gained five kilogrammes, but that was insufficient. I then put on about 7 to 8 kilogrammes, which made my director delighted. “Now you look just like Mona,” he exclaimed. Because I had to remain in character during the duration of the shoots, I stopped going to the gym and put my diet plans on hold. I consumed a wide variety of foods because I was unable to pretend to be eating while simultaneously spitting food out from the other side because my character even ate while filming. I had a great time assuming the identity of Mona.”

In addition, Jung discussed her motivation for acting in “Pyaari Mona,” admitting that she had had similar difficulties to those that her character did. When Jung was re-offered the part a year later after initially rejecting the drama, she accepted.

“This is my narrative. I have experienced it. not really with her family, as in. But I have experienced everything related to people and society. In addition to that, I also believed that a great number of people were experiencing the same problem. I have therefore discovered a story that is very crucial to convey for them and for me. Because we’ll continue to do typical plays with the boy and girl and they fall in love, I thought the message was crucial. But this play was distinctive and message-driven. I read it and was immediately smitten with Mona.”
