LAHORE: A team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday visited the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan in Zaman Park.

The two-member team arrived from Islamabad to hand over a summon notice in connection with money laundering and prohibited funding cases.

They spent some time at the residence but were not allowed to meet with the former premier due to security concerns. After serving the notice, the team left the residence without answering any questions from journalists.

This is the second time the NAB team has visited the PTI chief’s Zaman Park residence, with the first visit taking place on February 24.

NAB team visited the residence of Imran Khan in relation to the Toshakhana case, The bureau sought signatures on summon notices issued to former prime minister and his wife Bushra Bibi.  PTI chairman’s lawyer received the notice on his behalf.

Imran Khan and his wife has been summoned by NAB on March 9 in connection with the Toshakhana reference. The accountability watchdog has accused Imran Khan of illegally selling gifts received during his tenure as prime minister.
